Privacy policy

Last updated September 30, 2026. This policy describes what Chimney4u LLC collects through this website and what happens to it.

What we collect, and only when you send it

This site has no accounts, logins or newsletter. The only personal information we receive is what you enter in the estimate form:

• Your name and phone number, so we can contact you about the request.
• Your ZIP code, so we know whether the house is somewhere we work.
• The service you need, and anything you choose to tell us in the message box.
• Your email address, if you choose to give one.

We do not ask for your street address on the website. If a visit goes ahead, we ask for it then.

Our server also sees your IP address, as every web server does. It is not stored with your request: it is turned into a one-way hash used only to slow down automated abuse of the form. Our hosting provider keeps its own short-lived request logs.

What we do with it

We use it to reply to your request, arrange a visit, send you a written scope and photographs, and carry out work you approve. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers, lead brokers or other contractors.

Who else handles it

• Vercel hosts this website and runs the server that receives the form.
• Resend delivers each request to us as an email.
• Google provides the mailbox the request arrives in.

If we add a scheduling system or customer database, this list will be updated before that system is used.

Analytics

No analytics or advertising scripts run on this site at present. If that changes, this section will be updated before the change goes live.

Cookies and campaign information

This site sets no cookies of its own. If you arrive from an ad or campaign link, the campaign tags in that link (such as utm_source or an ad click id) are kept in your browser’s session storage and sent with your request only if you submit the form, so we know which campaign it came from. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.

How long we keep it

We keep request and job records for as long as we need them for the work, any commitments we made about it, and our tax and legal record-keeping. A request that does not become a job is deleted once it is clear it is not going ahead.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page or email Chimney4u.services@gmail.com.

Children

This site is for homeowners arranging chimney work. It is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top changes with it.
