Chimney4u inspects, sweeps and repairs chimneys for homes across Seattle and the Greater Puget Sound area, working out of Renton. We travel to the customer; there is no shop to visit.
The Seattle market has companies who have been at this for decades, with certifications and long review histories to show for it. We are not going to pretend to a history we do not have. What we offer instead is a way of working that you can check at every step.
Four promises, and they are the whole pitch
A written scope and price before work begins
We inspect first, then send what we found and what it costs. Nothing starts until you approve it.
Photographs before and after
We document what the chimney looked like when we arrived and what it looked like when we left, from the same angles where that is possible.
Plain explanations, no pressure
We tell you what is urgent, what can wait, and what does not need doing at all.
Repairs chosen for a wet climate
Materials and methods are selected for Puget Sound rainfall and freeze-thaw exposure rather than a generic national spec.
Illustration, not a photograph of a job. These are the parts we name in a report — and naming them precisely is most of what a good inspection is.

What happens when you call us out
Four steps, in the same order, on every job. The point is that you can see what we saw and agree the price before anyone starts working.

You send a request
Tell us the address, what you have noticed, and when suits you. Our office replies to arrange a time — we do not publish live openings we cannot honour.

We inspect and document
The chimney is examined and photographed before anything is touched, so the condition we describe is the condition you can see.
- 03
You get a written scope
What we found, what we recommend, what it costs, and what can safely wait. No work starts until you approve it.
- 04
We complete and photograph the work
The finished work is photographed from the same angles as the before shots, and the images are yours to keep.
What this website does not claim
Most chimney websites open with a row of badges — credentials, star ratings, a count of chimneys serviced, a founding year. Some of those are real and easy to check. A great many are decoration.
This site is built so that a claim can only appear once the underlying fact exists and can be checked. If you do not see a certification badge here, it is because we have not got one to show you — not because we forgot to add the image.

- Certifications
- None claimed. Industry certifications such as the CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep credential are earned by an individual technician, never by a company, and they have to be current. We will list one here only when a named person on this crew holds it and you can look them up.
- Years in business
- Not stated. When we have a number worth stating, it will be the real one.
- Reviews
- No testimonials appear on this site. When reviews exist, they will live on public platforms and this page will link straight to them.
- Photographs
- No stock image on this site is presented as our work. The diagrams are drawn; the project pages will only ever carry photographs we took, published with the homeowner’s permission.
How the guidance on this site is written
The technical pages here are written and reviewed by the Chimney4u editorial team. Where a page states a standard, a code requirement, a permit rule or a climate figure, it cites the document it came from, at the bottom of the page, with the date we read it.
We do that because the alternative — repeating what other chimney websites say — is how bad information spreads. If we could not find a primary source for something, we left it out rather than rounding it into a claim.
