Inspection and maintenance
Start here if you do not yet know what is wrong, or if the chimney is simply due.
Chimney Sweep
Mechanical cleaning of the flue, smoke chamber, smoke shelf and firebox to remove creosote, soot and debris, with the work contained indoors and the chimney photographed before and after.
Chimney Inspection
A chimney inspection graded to the national standard, NFPA 211. We identify the level your situation calls for, document what is found with photographs and a video scan where the level requires it, and give you a written report that separates urgent from optional.

Diagnosis first, then the specific repair the diagnosis calls for.
Chimney Repair
Chimney repair is a family of jobs — crown, cap, flashing, repointing, relining, partial rebuild. The work starts with a diagnosis, because the damage you can see is usually the far end of a water path that began somewhere else on the chimney.
Chimney Masonry Repair
Repointing deteriorated mortar joints and replacing spalled brick on masonry chimneys, with a mortar matched to the existing masonry rather than a stronger one, and the water source behind the damage identified first.
Chimney Crown Repair
Crack repair, elastomeric resurfacing, and full recasting of the sloped slab that covers the top of a masonry chimney, including the expansion joint at the flue liner and the overhang and drip edge that keep runoff off the brick.
Chimney Rebuild & Restoration
Taking down deteriorated chimney masonry to sound construction and rebuilding it, either above the roofline or further down, with reinforcement, a new liner, crown and flashing, and a written scope that says exactly where the rebuild line falls.
Water and venting
The parts that keep rain out and combustion products moving in the right direction.
Chimney Cap Installation
Measuring, supplying, and fastening a chimney cap sized to your flue and crown, so rain, animals, and embers stay out of the flue and the cap still comes off for sweeping.
Chimney Flashing Repair
Water staining near the chimney usually starts at the roof-to-chimney joint. Flashing repair rebuilds that joint as a layered metal assembly — stepped base flashing woven into the roofing, counter flashing let into a mortar joint above it — instead of patching over it with sealant.
Chimney Leak Repair
Chimney leak repair that begins with a diagnosis: crown, cap, chase cover, flashing, masonry face, mortar joints, and flue are each ruled in or out on evidence, so the repair closes the actual water path instead of coating over it.
Chimney Liner Installation
Relining replaces the flue's inner surface with a lining matched to the appliance connected to it. The material, diameter, listing and insulation are decided from an inspection and written into a scope you approve before anything is ordered, and the chimney is photographed before and after.
Chimney Waterproofing
Application of a vapor-permeable, penetrating masonry water repellent to the brick and mortar of a chimney, after the crown, cap, flashing, and joints have been checked and repaired, so the masonry sheds rain while still drying from the inside out.
