Privacy notice
Last updated 27 August 2026. This notice describes what CHIMNEY4U LLC collects through this website and what happens to it.
What we collect, and only when you send it
This site has no account system, no login and no newsletter sign-up. The only personal information we receive is what you type into the service request form:
- Your name and phone number, so we can contact you about the request.
- Your email address, if you choose to give one — it is optional.
- The service address, so we know where the chimney is.
- What you tell us about the problem, the service you want, and any preferred date or arrival window.
- Whether you gave permission for us to contact you about the request, and separately whether you opted in to seasonal reminders.
Our server also sees your IP address, as every web server does. We do not keep it in any record of your request: it is converted into a one-way hash used purely to rate-limit the form against automated abuse, and that hash cannot be turned back into an address. Our hosting provider keeps its own short-lived request logs, as every host does.
What we do with it
We use it to answer your request, arrange a visit, send you the written scope and the photographs, and carry out the work. If you opted in to seasonal reminders we may also send you an occasional maintenance reminder, and you can stop those at any time by replying and saying so.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, lead brokers, or other contractors.
Who else handles it
Three companies touch a request on its way to us, and no others:
- Vercel hosts this website and runs the server that receives the form.
- Resend delivers the request to us as an email. It passes through their sending service.
- Google provides the mailbox the request lands in, because our email address is a Gmail address.
They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. If we ever add a customer database or scheduling system, this list changes before that system goes live, not after.
Analytics
No analytics or advertising scripts are loaded on this site at present, and no cookies are set. If that changes, this section and the cookie position below will be updated before the change goes live.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. If you arrive from a campaign link, the campaign tags in the URL are kept in your browser’s session storage so we know which campaign a request came from. That stays on your device, is cleared when you close the browser, and contains no personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep request and job records for as long as we need them to service the work, honour any commitments we made about it, and meet our tax and legal record-keeping obligations. A request that does not turn into a job is deleted once it is clear it is not going ahead.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can withdraw permission to contact you at any time — although if you do, we cannot continue with the request. To do any of these, use the contact page or email chimney4u.services@gmail.com.
Children
This site is for homeowners and property managers arranging chimney work. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this notice changes materially, the date at the top will change with it.
This notice describes what the website actually does, and it is written to be accurate rather than to cover every eventuality. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Before launch, and again if the site starts using analytics, advertising or a customer database, have it reviewed against current Washington and federal requirements.
